Coal in the World

After the diorama, your journey through time brings you back to our present era with examples of various coals from France (and the world), but mainly to the current situation of coal reserves and the latest production figures.

While mines are closed in France, that’s not the case everywhere.

Some countries are still heavily reliant on coal, which might not be an energy of the past, including in France. Regarding energy production choices, the debate remains open, as well as individual reflection.

Before leaving the room, one last point for consideration is presented on the central wall: The carbon cycle or the place of carbon on Earth, its presence in all plants, rocks, air, and water, including us!
